What Our Clients
Are Saying

★★★★★

Despite rain,, high winds, fog, 40F temperatures and a National Park Service budget shutdown, we had a wonderful time at Acadia. Our guide Pete was exceptional. He listened carefully to our interests and then extemporaneously crafted a tour that felt entirely personal. His deep knowledge of the park, combined with a real gift for reading people, meant the beauty and significance of Acadia came through vividly — even under difficult conditions. Highly recommended.

Pete was our driver for a great 4 hour tour of Acadia National Park. Definitely worth a tour on this great little island. Pete was very informative and gave us time to get out of the van and walk along the water and the trails in Acadia. Would definitely recommend this tour if visiting Bar Harbor.

★★★★★

In July of 2025 my college student son and I enjoyed this tour of Acadia and MDI thoroughly. Pete is an excellent guide of the area. He knows all the history, hot spots and lesser known spots to visit. His vehicle is pristine (new) and comfortable. He also knows where the clean restrooms are (don’t underestimate the importance of this…lol). This private tour allowed us to sit back and not worry about maps or parking spots and let us just soak it all in. Five stars! Worth every penny!

Pete was amazing—super organized, full of local insight, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. We saw so much more than we would have on our own, without the hassle of planning or driving. Can’t recommend his tour enough!

Pete was amazing!!!! Super knowledgeable about the area and was terrific with my energetic boys. He took us to spots we definitely wouldn’t have found ourselves. Pete gave us a ton of advice about the park on days he wasn’t even with us! He was on time and courteous. Just a wonderful experience from start to finish.

We had a six hour tour with our host... Great job considering the family ages and interest. It was a good introduction to MDI for the start of our week long stay.

Fantastic Acadia trip with Pete! - extensive amount of knowledge and history of Acadia, the families involved at the outset, various trivia and tidbits of info, and funny stories. Pete was the absolute perfect companion for the day, patient with us and such a nice guy with a good sense of humor. Thanks Pete!

We are a family of 5 and had such a phenomenal trip! I’m so glad that I booked Scenic Acadia Tours. Pete has vast knowledge of the area. We range in age from 43 to 7-years-old and were all happy and engaged the entire 6 hours. More than worth it and would absolutely choose again!

FAQS

Need More Info?

Will we see any wildlife?

Wildlife viewing is always a possibility, but it's never guaranteed. Spotting wildlife in Acadia National Park can be less common than expected. What kind of vehicle will we be in?

You’ll be in a brand new, 2025 Kia Carnival. This high-end SUV style minivan is incredibly comfortable & spacious - with big windows & dual power sunroofs for stunning panoramic views, bringing the beauty of the Maine outdoors into the vehicle .
