Pete was our driver for a great 4 hour tour of Acadia National Park. Definitely worth a tour on this great little island. Pete was very informative and gave us time to get out of the van and walk along the water and the trails in Acadia. Would definitely recommend this tour if visiting Bar Harbor.
In July of 2025 my college student son and I enjoyed this tour of Acadia and MDI thoroughly. Pete is an excellent guide of the area. He knows all the history, hot spots and lesser known spots to visit. His vehicle is pristine (new) and comfortable. He also knows where the clean restrooms are (don’t underestimate the importance of this…lol). This private tour allowed us to sit back and not worry about maps or parking spots and let us just soak it all in. Five stars! Worth every penny!
Pete was amazing—super organized, full of local insight, and clearly passionate about what he does. He made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. We saw so much more than we would have on our own, without the hassle of planning or driving. Can’t recommend his tour enough!

Wildlife viewing is always a possibility, but it's never guaranteed. Spotting wildlife in Acadia National Park can be less common than expected. We will have a good pair of binoculars nearby to keep an eye on the surrounding area for loons, porcupines, beavers, white-tailed deer, bald eagles, red squirrels, snowshoe hares, harbor seals and peregrine falcons.

Acadia has a lot to offer, but we design our tours to cover the highlights efficiently while leaving time to enjoy the moment. If you want more, we can extend or book a second tour.
Black bears do live in Acadia National Park, with sightings increasing across in the park and Mount Desert Island in recent years. While rare to encounter, these black bears generally avoid people but visitors should store food securely and hikers should keep their dogs leashed.
